The Story Behind Monica Echeverri Art

When I was about five years old, my parents enrolled me in art classes. There, I played around with several different mediums - charcoal, pastel, watercolor, and oils. Creating felt like the perfect way to express my love for all things nature at the time.
Seven years later, my dad bought me my first easel so I could start painting at home! I was excited by landscapes and began painting some of my favorite places from photos I had taken - this turned into a hobby that stuck around throughout many stages of my life.
Flash forward to 2020, I was in graduate school for nutrition, and decided to take some artwork to a local art show. Seeing people connect with my work in real life was equally as terrifying as it was rewarding.
Painting has now become a part of my life in a way that I would have never imagined. I still love the feeling of seeing a landscape slowly come to life on canvas with intentional brushstrokes, soft colors, and dreamy compositions. Working with clients from all over the US on bringing their favorite moments to life has added a whole new meaning to my work and something I will continuously feel grateful for.
Thank you so much for being here!
